I love the Roscolux range for many reasons, for a start they're excellent quality. The fact that they're HT is brilliant for me particularly when it comes to backlighting as that's a key element in my designs. It's important for me that when I am relying on a good strong wash from a bar of Parcans, I'm confident that the colour won't burn through and will always look it's best.

With regards to this particular production, I used some of my old favourites like #022 and #026 which have a beautiful clarity in their own right but mix wonderfully to create a warm, rich and cosy firelight effect. Other tried and tested favourites like #079 and #085 gave me two blues that felt colder and warmer, respectively, and are both excellent for creating a night-time feel with the ability to produce crisp back and sidelighting. #085 used as a backlight, with #022 coming in from another angle onto an actor gives the warmest snuggly contrast that makes you feel all cosy inside. The new colour I tried this time round was #089. I'm usually pretty wary of greens but this worked fantastically well as a bright, warm, daylight, particularly on a grassy floor consisting of many painted shades of greens and browns.
